Cubz was originally Marcus Cubs, the engineer apprentice and good friend of Roy, as well as the drummer and lighting FX specialist of Damien’s band. As a boy Marcus was constantly bullied and beaten at school everyday because of his then tiny size. He was rejected at the school and the bullies were the spoiled children of the corrupt principal, and this is why no one felt compelled to help Marcus, until one day when he was being pinned up against the lockers when suddenly two black haired boys came to defend him. Marcus begged the boys not to get involved as he himself is just a reject with no worth since he is not popular and the bullies outnumber him as well as having the back of the twisted school system to defend them. The black haired boys did not care about the numbers, they turned, smiled, and told Marcus that they have seen Marcus staying late in school after its over just to go to the lab and test some new invention, and they saw how much Marcus loved music. Then the boys tell Marcus he is more worth than this entire school and proceed to fight all the bullies at once. The battle that ensues is a brutal beating of the bullies by the boys who seemed like an army of two. The black haired boy’s were actually Damien and Roy. After this day Marcus joined Damien’s band and they both became close friends as Damien motivated Marcus to become more confident and brave, telling him his “true size” is measured by his actions. Roy also took Marcus under his wing and gave him a very well paying job as an apprentice to the genius engineer at his company. Unfortunately later, during the enlightenment of Verth, Marcus was so terrified of the end of the world and the things he was seeing that, with snot coming out of his nose and tears out of his eyes, he was about to shoot himself in the head to end it all as he had no hope. This is when Roy grabs his own gun and points it at his own head as well. “If you shoot yourself, you will have ended my life as well… I will pull this trigger at the same time as you.” Marcus, out of love for his friend, apologized for his rash actions and lowered the gun. He would be brave. Tragically, later on as a small unknown pedestrian girl is about to be killed by the terrifying Core Dragon, it is Marcus who bravely steps forward to save the girl, as he pushes her out of the way and his lower half is chopped off by the beasts jaws and eaten in front of him. Marcus bleeding heavily as his stomach entrails scrape the road has no fear in his eyes and no regrets in his soul. Roy grabs his fist and tells Marcus “You were never small, idiot… Today you were a Giant.” Marcus smiles and fades, as he passes away. A very long time later, the Revels run into an actual Half Giant, Half Titan. A gargantuan man named Alexander, who is just as powerful as he is massive. Despite his intimidating size, he ends up taking a liking to Damien’s music that he hears. It is only later that we find out Alexander is a vessel with the soul of their lost friend Marcus! Marcus had become a true giant.
