Enkidu was once a powerful warrior, even one of the top generals of the Holy Legion under Heracles. As a General, Enkidu was a fierce warrior, fighting in many battles and wars, committing many atrocities. After some time, Enkidu realized that the non stop violence is senseless and he is only hurting those innocent. Heracles did not like these emotions in his soldier so he severely punished Enkidu and then exiled him from the Holy Legion, but Heracles was smart enough to know that Enkidu was too powerful to leave unchecked, so Heracles enslaved his former soldier and offered him to the Universe’s richest God, The Profiteer, Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh accepted the gift and formed an exclusive business with Heracles. Heracles was interested in collecting powerful souls from the deceased to put into powerful bodies and vessels within his army. Since Gilgamesh has a monopoly on the Soul Trade thanks to his subordinate Joki, he would be a prime person to locate powerful souls for Heracles to use. Gilgamesh also had “plans” for Enkidu as Gilgamesh was unstable mentally. Gilgamesh saw Enkidu as his equal in terms of power, but treated Enkidu very horribly as a slave. Gilgamesh even has a reputation of breaking slaves, even capturing their souls and reincarnating them when their slave bodies died, putting their tortured and tormented souls into another body and forcing them to relive another life as a slave. This is usually enough to break a slave mentally, however, no matter what Gilgamesh did, he could never break Enkidu’s spirit. For the first time in his life, the spoiled God Gilgamesh had a toy that he could not break and this caused Gilgamesh to homosexually fall in love with Enkidu forcing his slave into an unwanted and abusive relationship. To bind Enkidu forever and suppress his true powers so that Enkidu could never use his power to rise up against him, Gilgamesh chained Enkidu with a very famous holy relic, the ‘Chains of Eden.’ These very chains were used to suppress the White Dragon during the Dragon wars, who wanted to end the war to prevent the extinction of his race of Dragons. These chains are extremely powerful and cannot be broken by typical magic, only very powerful dark magic. Later on, when the Revels arrive at Heruk, after many events transpire, Ava and Wendy get captured. Damien and Griffon attempt to get the location of Ava and Wendy from Joki the Clown. Joki, being a God who enjoys chaos and discord, does tell them where they can find the girls, but Joki can also sense the boys intentions. Joki is able to sense that Damien deeply cares for Ava while Griffon is closer to Wendy, and so Joki gives Damien the location of Wendy and Griffon the location of Ava. The boys listen to the instructions unknowing and so Griffon is sent to the top of the Castelion palace where he battles Gilgamesh in the first battle the Revels have against a True God. While Gilgamesh and Griffon battle, Damien travels to the ghetto’s under the lower cities, where Damien runs into a massive glass like sphere containing millions of screaming ghost like beings. This is known as the Sphere of Souls, Gilgamesh’s prized collection of souls. His collection grew so large that he had to hide it below the surface of Heruk. Damien sees the Sphere, he sees Wendy in a cage and is confused but before he can process that he had been tricked by Joki, Damien sees the guard of the Sphere and Wendy, Enkidu. They both also begin to battle and at first Damien is getting beaten. Wendy is watching and tells Damien to go and get help as Enkidu is too powerful. He uses the Chains of Eden and incorporates it into his fighting style, swinging his chains at Damien which severely hurt him each time, leaving his body bruised and even breaking some of his ribs with the impacts. The entire fight, Damien is exerting tons of energy attempting to hurt Enkidu, but Enkidu remains calm and collected, being able to easily dispatch Damien’s attacks. Damien realizes that the chains are a big problem and so Damien develops a new ability, something he must come up with to survive the brutal fight. Damien gets the ability to use the little bit of magic he has to conjure an aura of lightning around his fists. These pseudo ‘Lightning Blades’ allows Damien to somewhat deflect the chains without sacrificing his own hands, fists, or arms to block them. For a moment, Damien evens the odds as now he has an ability to block, but he still cannot hurt Enkidu. Enkidu does, however, remark that Damien is more cunning than Enkidu gave him credit for, as no one usually lasts this long in a battle against him. Damien then jokingly tells Enkidu to remove the chains to make the fight more balanced, but Enkidu truthfully tells Damien that he can never remove them as the only type of magic which can break these chains is dark magic, and dark magic is extremely rare, and even those who wield it aren’t much for helping people. Enkidu has been binded by these chains which suppress his true powers for so long he does not remember the face of his wife and daughter. While he complains about his circumstances, Damien interrupts him and tells him to shut up and that “A real man doesn’t complain about his circumstances, he just gets the job done” something Griffon told him when he failed long ago. Before Enkidu can reply, Damien does something that nobody expected. Damien attempts to break the chains which bind Enkidu’s wrists and neck. Enkidu tells Damien that the chains can never be broken and then an annoyed Enkidu delivers one of his powerful punches right to the stomach of Damien. The chains also mysteriously seem to burn Damien’s hands. Damien, however, holds on still trying to break the chains and collar. Neither Enkidu nor Damien had any idea what would happen next. They were both unaware that Damien has innate powers of Darkness within him and this is the moment where he awakened them, and Damien is able to pull apart the collar and break the chains. They are both confused as to how it worked, it should not be possible. While Damien was oblivious to what he just did or how he did it, Enkidu realizes that it must have been darkness. Enkidu is at first enraged and confused calling Damien a fool for once again giving Enkidu the upper hand in the battle, this is when Enkidu transforms into a more beastly form that was concealed by the chains all this time and continues to battle Damien, all while pondering why Damien would help him, unaware that Damien just wanted to fight his enemies at full strength to prove his worth. Damien had heard of the fearsome reputation of Enkidu prior, as people compared the strength of the warrior to Gilgamesh himself. Damien understood that Griffon was currently battling against Gilgamesh above them and Damien wanted to match the challenge of battling a God with his rival Griffon, and the closest measure Damien could get to the God Gilgamesh, was his slave Enkidu. The entire fight was a scope or test for Damien to see how he measures up to Griffon. While Griffon was struggling in his battle against Gilgamesh as Griffon was constantly worrying about Wendy and Damien being unable to save her because of his own personal flaws, Damien had full faith in his friend Griffon to defeat Gilgamesh. These differing outlooks in the fights affect their performance as Damien is able to constantly get stronger during his fight, using the confidence that Griffon will find a way to overcome the odds to defeat Gilgamesh so Damien must do the same to overcome Enkidu, but Griffon’s worrying about Damien and his lack of reliability play at Griffons mind, something the intelligent Gilgamesh catches on to and mocks Griffon by making fun of Damien’s ineptitude. Gilgamesh tells Griffon there is no way Damien would ever defeat his slave Enkidu. This causes Griffon to lose focus during the fight and sustain heavy damage. However, Griffon and Damien continue to get up again and again, eventually defeating Gilgamesh and Enkidu. While Griffon kills Gilgamesh, ending his reign of terror since he was pure evil, Damien chooses not to kill Enkidu as perhaps Damien could sense that Enkidu was not a bad person, and instead, Damien uses the last of his power to use a lightning bolt punch and breaks the large planet sized floating castle, destroying it and restoring the sunshine back to the lower cities. Griffon gets angry at Damien later for not taking out Enkidu completely, but Enkidu, now free from his binds, decides to seek out Damien after the Revels escape from Heruk, and also to see his daughter and wife again. Nobody knows that Gilgamesh had a back up copy of his soul and Enkidu’s soul and so Gilgamesh is able to revive himself and make an evil clone of Enkidu forced to obey Gilgamesh’s will. Gilgamesh uses these to gain the trust of the Revels and the clone of Enkidu to murder Enkidu’s family right in front of him right after he had just reunited with them from his captivity. This event finally causes Enkidu to break mentally and Enkidu now becomes pure insanity and Gilgamesh convinces Enkidu to exact revenge on the Revels for giving him “the illusion of freedom” in the first place.
